Friday Update

Good Afternoon,

We have had an incredibly busy week this week.  The students have been working with natural plant dyes for their drums and also made the most beautiful cloth scarfs.  The coming weeks are also going to be jam packed with field trips and outings for both CJ and LEX. The LEX students have created the most amazing mural in our hallways of a galaxy and timeline of historical events.  We are all so proud of the work that is being done by our students and the exceptional activities that our teachers are planning. Please find attached some photos from the week.  Another exciting event that we are hosting is Jennifer Katz who is Doctor/Professor from UBC who is going to take our staff through a professional development focused on inclusion and diversity.

Have an amazing long weekend and we will see everyone back on Monday.

SAFE ROUTES TO SCHOOL SURVEY - The District of Squamish is conducting a survey about safe routes to school. The survey is open until Friday, May 7th. The link to the parent survey is www.squamish.ca/saferoutes.

The data collection is very important as it enables the DOS to see where they have had successes with the program and where work is still needed. It will help them to update the Best Routes to School maps as well as prioritize upcoming infrastructure projects.
