HALLOWEEN - On October 30th, children are invited to wear their Halloween costumes. With respect to Halloween costumes, we ask that all accessories such as swords, wands, or brooms remain at home. Please be respectful of the age range at our school when it comes to scary costumes, we want it to be fun for everyone!

Please see link below for safety tips for Halloween:

We believe that student conduct shall meet the needs of individuals in a way that works for them, for the school and promotes a climate of respect as defined by the B.C. Human Rights Code.  Therefore, costumes must not display any statement, sign, symbol, emblem or other representation that shows intolerance, indicates discrimination, or an intention to discriminate on the basis of an individual’s or a group’s race, colour, ancestry, place of origin, religion, family status, sex, or sexual orientation, physical or mental disability, gender identity or expression, dress, or other perceived differences.

SCHOOL INFORMATION

SCHOOL PHOTO PROOFS were sent home with students today. Orders are all done online this year and the information required to order can be found on your proof. For additional information, please click on the "How to Order" link.  Once your order has been processed, the photos will be mailed home by Mountain West Studios.

UNIVERSAL PRECAUTION – as the weather gets colder, we would like to take the time to share our School Procedures for Extreme Weather.

A Reminder:

Students will arrive at the school and enter the playground.  A staff member will be waiting at the gate to ensure the student’s hands are sanitized.  Students can play on the playground prior to schools starting and when they hear the drum they are to proceed to the outside door of their classroom.  LEX students can go directly to the outside door of their classrooms where a teacher/EA will be waiting to let them enter and direct them to wash their hands.

Break times will be staggered for LEX and CJ as we feel that some of our younger LEX students would benefit from using the playground and field when CJ is not booked.  LEX will eat lunch & playground  from 11:30-12:15. CJ will eat lunch from 12 – 12:20 and then playground from 12:20 – 1 pm.

Students will leave the school via their outside classroom door and exit to the parking lot to meet their parent/guardians.  If they are on the bus an EA will accompany them to the appropriate area.
